The Honourabe Minister of Labour and Employment, Sen. Chris Ngige has described the death of the Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Lawal as a colossal loss to the labour sector and the Nation as a whole.

“Dr. Hassan Lawal was a legal luminary, an elder statesman and a seasoned administrator whose disposition, patriotism and contributions to national development cannot be quantified. His landmark achievements as a former Minister of Labour and Productivity, between March 2004 and December 2008 remain indelible and a big watershed in the history of Labour Administration in the country.” Ngige eulogised.

Furthermore, Ngige said that Hassan Lawal was an advocate of change and ardent promoter of democratic tenets. He departed this world at a time his wealth of experience as an elder statesman is still needed to propel our democratic process to distinction.

Ngige prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed and asked God to grant his immediate family, the Government and the people of Nasarawa State and the entire nation the fortitude to bear his loss
