A SHORT PROFILE

Dr. Martina Enuma Nwordu is currently the Director of Special Duties / Projects Department in the Ministry. She is responsible for conceptualization, design and development of special intervention projects aimed at job creation and reduction of vulnerabilities related to unemployment. She also supervises the Anti Corruption and Transparency Unit, the Protocol Unit and the Stock Verification Unit in the Ministry. With highest educational qualification of Doctorate Degree in Industrial Food Microbiology, her performance on the job is also enhanced by several professional and technical training and certifications which built up her skills in research, problem solving, critical thinking, project management, administration, planning, leadership, ICT, e.t.c. She joined the civil service in 1992 as a Project/Planning Officer and rose through the ranks to the present position. She was born on 14th November, 1962 to the family of late Chief and Chief (Mrs.) David Iloegbusi Nwafor-Ocha, in Lokpanta, Umunneochi LGA of Abia state, Nigeria. She is happily married, with children, to Chief (Nze) John Nwordu from Mbano, Imo State, Nigeria. She is a philanthropist with interest in women and youth development. Her   leisure time is spent on indoor and outdoor sporting activities.
