LABOUR PERMANENT SECRETARY CHARGES TOP MANAGEMENT STAFF ON ACTUALIZATION OF THE MINISTRY’S MANDATE

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, Bolaji Adebiyi has advised the top Management staff in the Directorate cadre of the Ministry to utilize their expertise as professionals and their leadership capacity to enhance Employment generation in the country and leave behind good legacies for their successors.

The Permanent Secretary gave this advice while declaring open a 2-day Leadership and Strategic Management Training, organized by the Ministry for all Directorate cadre staff in the Ministry.

According to him, the Ministry of Labour and Employment is very important to government though it suffered set back in the past, due to inadequate funding and the previous governments’ inability to recognize the key role of the Ministry in the growth of the economy.

He stressed that the Ministry of Labour and Employment by its mandate, should be the first point of call to all employment seekers, and that it is time that the Ministry lived up to its responsibilities.

Mr. Adebiyi applauded the Directors for their outstanding performance in their various Departments while urging them to make the best use of the training opportunity to improve even further, the discharge of their duties and invariably the execution of their responsibilities in their various Departments.

Earlier in his own remarks, the Director, Human Resources, Ajibola Ibrahim thanked the Permanent Secretary for supporting the Directorate cadre for the capacity training workshop.
